Life simulation game inZOI announced that it’s launching a character creation demo. Developed by Krafton, inZOI lets players alter different aspects of the in-game world to create unique stories and experiences for their virtual avatars. It’s also considered a worthy rival to The Sims because of its detailed character creation and world-building.

With Project Rene, The Sims‘ next installment, still in development, many gamers have been keeping their eyes on a number of life simulation titles. inZOI instantly caught the attention of people because of its hyperrealistic approach to character creation and beautiful locations. Its release is expected later this year, but expectant gamers can experience inZOI‘s features very soon.

inZOI recently announced via YouTube that it’s launching a demo of its Character Studio to let players check out the Zoi customization features. The 35-second video shows the expansive selection of facial and body features, outfits, and backdrops that will be available for use. The inZOI Character Studio will be available to download on Steam starting August 21, 2024, and will only be available until August 26.

In the comments under inZOI‘s YouTube video, many people expressed their excitement for the demo, thanking the developers for listening to their requests to experience its character creation. Some also said that they can’t wait to play another life sim that could rival The Sims, especially after seeing the variety of features available to create Zois.

Character creation demos are a great way to showcase games’ features to hype up players. Saints Row and Dragon’s Dogma 2 did just that to share their new customization features, which certainly made fans excited to play the games. Project Rene could follow suit and release a character creation demo, even just for a limited time. In the future, inZOI could release a demo for its possible home decoration and exploration features.

Apart from The Sims, inZOI will have some worthy competition in Paralives, which is an indie life sim expected to come out in 2025. The Krafton game is already a step ahead of both life sims because it’s ready to share its highly anticipated customization feature, and it’s expected to launch later this year, unless it suddenly gets delayed. Another viable rival would have been Paradox Interactive’s Life By You, but it was unfortunately canceled after multiple delays.
